BOYDS.- Local inmates are putting new skills to work and helping a local library system at the same time. Inmates work a few days a week to repair damaged library books, and they develop their work skills at the same time to help when they go back into the community.
Lyndsey Wallen is a broadcast journalism graduate student at the University of Maryland. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Delaware in with a bachelor's degree in mass communication in 2011. She currently works with the Journalism Center on Children and Families and was a U.S. representative in the 2012 Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change.
