Food Stamp Cuts Affecting One in Eight Marylanders
BALTIMORE – December 1st marked the one month anniversary since cuts to food stamp programs went into effect, affecting more than 47 million people. In Baltimore, some local residents are learning to cope with the cuts.
Meagan Todaro is a senior at the University of Maryland Phillip Merrill College of Journalism and works at the Capital News Service broadcast bureau. She has interned at a local Maryland television station, Rockville 11, and was later hired as a production assistant. She has also worked as a video editor at News 12 New Jersey and as a freelancer for Patch.com.
