GREENBELT, Maryland– On March 30, 1973 the last U.S. troops left Vietnam and for most of the returning soldiers the return home was anything but welcoming. But for the third year in a row, the Hospice of the Chesapeake sponsored a special “welcome home” for hundreds of Vietnam Vets to provide the welcome back they didn’t get more than four decades ago.
