House committee seeks input on opioid crisis in visit to Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh joined with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in providing their assessment of the growing opioid crisis in the country. Christie, chair of a presidential commission on combating drug addiction, told the House Committee On Oversight and Government Reform the drug epidemic did not start on the corners of Baltimore or his hometown but in the doctor’s offices and hospitals across the country.
