Governor Larry Hogan commits $175 million to increase school safety

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland — Following the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida, Governor Larry Hogan says he wants to make sure that something like that never happens in Maryland. Hogan has committed $125 million dollars in order to make sure schools have metal detectors, locking doors and windows, and other safety measures. Hogan also will allocate another $50 million dollars to help provide schools with new counselors and officers, along with new technology.
