COLLEGE PARK, Maryland — Last weekend, Awesome Con, Washington, D.C.’s version of the popular Comic Con, took over the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The convention was a celebration of all things ‘geek culture’—fantasy, science fiction, comics, gaming, movies, toys, games and more.
Awesome Con had special events throughout the weekend, including a “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” costume and prop exhibit, a forum where science consultants with Legendary Entertainment talked about the science behind “Pacific Rim,” and a screening of the first episode of Netflix’s “Lost in Space” series.
