State lawmakers override Gov. Hogan’s education legislation veto

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland–Governor Hogan has followed through on a threat vetoing legislation approved by the legislature that restricts the state’s ability to get involved with under-performing schools.The bill, called the “PROTECT OUR SCHOOLS ACT,” It passed with comfortable margins in both the House and Senate and that support held up with the veto override votes.
