Afghan U-S aid worker faces challenges in new life in the United States

RIVERDALE, Maryland– They are a select group of veterans putting their lives on the line for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Afghan Aid workers are often overshadowed and left behind once they receive Special Immigration Visas. Some are able to make new lives in the United States but not after facing tragic losses and the threat to the members of their families that they leave behind.
