Thousands rally in DC for March for Our Lives

WASHINGTON — Just days after the fatal shooting at Great Mills High School in St. Mary’s County in Southern Maryland, more than 100 students from the high school joined with hundreds of thousands of others from around the country in taking to the streets of Washington, D.C. last Saturday for the March for Our Lives. The event was organized by students from Stoneman Dougles High School in Parkland, Florida where 17 people were killed on Valentine’s Day when a gunman opened fire in the school. Participants in the rally in Washington and other similar rallies around the rest of the country and the world called for more protections for students in school and stricter gun laws.
