MD lawmakers seek answers from USM Regents about football controversy

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland — State lawmakers grilled the head of the University System of Maryland Board of Regents on Thursday concerning the Board’s actions following the death of Terp football player Jordan McNair. Lawmakers criticized the Board for its lack of transparency and overreach when the Board opted to reinstate Coach DJ Durkin and declined to take action against the University’s Athletic Director while, at the same time, accepting the resignation of University President Wallace Loh.
