Relieving D.C.’s food insecurity issue

WASHINGTON — About 14.3 million U.S. households were food insecure in 2018, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In Washington D.C.’s Wards 7 and 8, there are only two grocery stores accommodating about 34,000 people. Lauren Moses reports on how three mission-driven organizations are determined to relieve some of the food insecurities in the nation’s capital.
