Sugar skulls, pictures and orange flowers: Mexican Catholics celebrate Day of the Dead

Baltimore-To commemorate Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead, Mexican Catholics display colorful altars to celebrate the lives of their loved ones. This tradition is celebrated primarily in Mexico, but it has extended to various parts across the United States with large Mexican populations. The Mexican Committee at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Baltimore has put together a multi-level altar with pictures of the deceased, candles, orange flowers and decorated skulls.
