But as expenses continue to rise and fear of losing the farm persists, Daily Crisis is struggling to stay afloat. The Vaughans are just one family out of hundreds facing the possibility of having to close their farm. As this national epidemic grows, farmers’ mental health is impacted negatively, leaving an uncertain future ahead.

SILVER SPRING, Maryland — Montgomery County high school student Jordan McAuliff, 17, slept on a boat hitched to the back of a trailer for four nights to protest inaction on climate change. The protest coincided with international climate activist Greta Thunberg’s call for a strike on December 6.
