Push in Advanced Manufacturing Technology Drives NIST Budget Growth

President Obama has proposed a major increase in funding for the National Institute of Standards and Technology for Fiscal Year 2016, an increase of 29 percent over Fiscal Year 2015. The biggest driver of that increase is an additional $168 million for the Industrial Technology Services sector of NIST, which is designed to strengthen the nation's manufacturing infrastructure.
