The Continuing Reinvention of Brenton Duvall

Warning: the lyrics in the video above and some of the tracks below include explicit language.

Potomac music producer Brenton Duvall first made his name releasing remixes of pop songs, where he layered sampled vocal tracks over original instrumental beats. His biggest hit was undoubtedly "Mean Planes & Taylor Gangs," an addictive blend of descending synths, Taylor Swift hooks and Wiz Khalifa verses.

With the success, bloggers pegged him as a mashup whiz kid, a label he's worked to disown ever since. Duvall works tirelessly to experiment with new sounds and reshape his style at every opportunity. Browsing through his SoundCloud catalog, listeners will hear a diverse collection of music, ranging from pop songs to hip-hop beats to trance instrumentals.
