Some Maryland Counties Struggle to Equip Schools with Air Conditioning

The maps below show the percentage of schools in each county that do not have air conditioning. Several school districts have made significant improvements in the past 11 years, but 33 percent of Baltimore County schools and 69 percent of Garrett County schools are still hot in warmer months. Baltimore City is not included on this map, as its school infrastructure data is calculated differently than other districts.
