Republican-leaning areas in Maryland, such as the Eastern Shore and Western Maryland, are even more Republican in 2016 than they were in 2012. In heavily Democratic areas such as Baltimore City and Prince George's County, on the other hand, the margin of victory for Democrats has decreased.
