Monthly rainfall in Ellicott City is mostly consistent, with a few outliers

Below are the rainfall and average rainfall numbers for each month collected from BWI Airport (the closest rain collection site to Ellicott City). The two purple dots represent the two recent floods in Ellicott City in July of 2016 and May of 2018. Both cases are greater than the monthly average, though aren't among the months with the highest rainfall. The orange dot is the minor flood from September of 2011, which had the highest recorded rainfall totals of any month in the graph.
