The annual rainfall totals collected at BWI show a variation in rainfall from year to year. The graphic below shows the total rainfall from each year since 2010. It also highlights the rainfall totals in the three months when Ellicott City has flooded since 2010. Data for 2018, which is displayed through June, is on track to have a higher total than 2017.
