In 2015, Maryland exported $10 billion in goods to the rest of the world, down from $12.2 billion in 2014. It's largest trading partners in 2015: Canada ($1.5 billion), followed by Saudi Arabia ($788 million) and the United Kingdom ($567 million). Source: U.S. Census foreign trade data.

...But It Imports More Goods Than it Exports

In 2015, the state imported $31.5 billion in goods from the rest of the world -- or $21.5 billion more than it exported. The largest sources of goods to Maryland: Germany ($5.3 billion), followed by China ($3.4 billion) and the United Kingdom ($3 billion). Source: U.S. Census foreign trade data.
