In Langley Park, a deadly stretch of road

At least 138 pedestrians were struck by vehicles between 2009 and 2016 on a two-mile stretch of University Boulevard in the low-income community of Langley Park, including eight who were killed, a Capital News Service analysis found. Four of the eight deaths occurred near the intersection of University and Riggs Road. Zoom and pan to see other pedestrian accident hotspots, including the intersections at 23rd Avenue, 15th Avenue and Guilford Road. Locations are approximate, based on Maryland vehicle crash data.
