This map shows the percentage point decrease in non-Hispanic whites as a proportion of the total population in each of Maryland's counties and Baltimore city from 2000 to 2010. For example, non-Hispanic whites made up 79.8 percent of the population in Anne Arundel County in 2000, but dropped to 72.4 percent in 2010. The largest decrease occurred in counties in the Washington, D.C., area.
