A number of migratory marine species are subject to disruption during construction of offshore wind farms. Here are the habitats of five marine species that frequent Maryland waters, overlaid on the projected area of a wind farm off the shore of Ocean City. While a habitat area may not come close to Maryland, the migratory nature of these fish could bring them into a danger zone during turbine installation.
