Farm families face high suicide rates as they struggle to make ends meet

HARFORD COUNTY, Maryland – Dan Vaughan and his family have owned Daily Crisis Farm, a small dairy farm, for almost 30 years. But as expenses continue to rise and fear of losing the farm persists, Daily Crisis is struggling to stay afloat. The Vaughans are just one family out of hundreds facing the possibility of having to close their farm. As this national epidemic grows, farmers’ mental health is impacted negatively, leaving an uncertain future ahead.
