Medal of Honor Awarded to University of Maryland Alum

At a White House Ceremony on Thursday, U.S. Army Captain Florent Groberg (retired) received the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry in a ceremony at the White House. Florent, a University of Maryland graduate, tackled a suicide bomber during a combat mission in Afghanistan’s Kunar Province.
