Maryland Drivers Charged with Cellphone Usage Triples

In the six months since the Maryland law banning cellphone usage while driving became more strict, the number of drivers ticketed has more than tripled. Monday, Gov. Martin O’Malley signed a law allowing stricter penalties for drivers who cause a serious or fatal crash while using a phone or texting.
