CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Protesters from around the country joined forces Sunday in Charlotte to organize a rally and march on America’s second-largest banking city.
The “March on Wall Street South” began with a two-hour morning session in Frazier Park, featuring speakers from many of the 90 organizations registered as participants.
More than 800 people joined the march, according to the Associated Press. The three-mile trek took protesters through uptown Charlotte, past several of Charlotte’s largest banks and corporations, such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Duke Energy.
