BALTIMORE – Dangerously Delicious is a rock and roll pie shop in the heart of Baltimore. The employees there are musicians, as well as huge Ravens fans.
“Oh, die-hard,” said Lazlo Lee, a musician, and the head baker at Dangerously Delicious. “We’re gonna win the Super Bowl. Confident.”
The shop is known for their unique savory and sweet pies. But this week, they have something extra special on the menu: a purple and black Ravens pie.
This shop is like hundreds of Baltimore companies, capitalizing on Super Bowl fever by selling memorabilia and purple food.
The Ravens pie has an Oreo cookie crust, vanilla custard and purple whipped cream on top. They’ve sold nearly 30 in the past few days at $25 a pie.
And the bakers say the Ravens team is familiar with this hometown pie shop.
Last season, the camera caught Ravens player Terrell Suggs eating a Dangerously Delicious sweet potato pie on the sidelines, Lee said.
