COLLEGE PARK – Montgomery County Delegate Kirill Reznik spent the first four years of his life in Ukraine, until he and his parents received visas to immigrate to the U.S. Nonetheless, he keeps close tabs on the state of affairs in his homeland. He and two University of Maryland doctoral students know all too well how a crisis in a country 5,000 miles away can have ripple effects here.
