Stephanie Martinez is a graduate student covering diversity and immigration for the University of Maryland’s Capital News Service TV. She is a former photojournalist at ViewFinder, an award-winning team who specialized in creating natural sound packages. She just completed an internship with Pete Williams at NBC’s Nightly News. She also worked for over two years as a freelance reporter for Telemundo Washington covering controversial immigration issues and heated political topics. She is also working on a long-format documentary called UNCENSORED about the dangers journalists face while working from conflict-torn territories such as the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
