BALTIMORE — Imhotep Simba and Abdul Brannum may have had a brush with the law, but now they’re turning their lives around thanks to UMBC’s Choice Program that gives troubled teens new opportunities.
A previous version of this report included information that Capital News Service could not confirm concerning the history of one of the individuals involved with the UMBC Choice program. That information has been corrected. All participants in the Choice program are referred to it by the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services.
