WASHINGTON — First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed 60 local middle schoolers to a Celebration of Song Workshop at the White House. Smokey Robinson, MC Lyte, Keb Mo, Trombone Shorty and Esperanza Spalding spoke on a panel and helped the students write songs. The event was held in honor of the 50th anniversary of the National Endowment for the Arts and Humanities
