ANNAPOLIS, Maryland–Some 1500 waterfront homeowners throughout Maryland are taking delivery of thousands of oyster spat, young oysters, as part of the “Marylanders Grow Oysters Program” which gives local residents the chance to help re-populate the state’s oyster population. The spat are being distributed to property owners along 33 rivers and creeks around the state.
