COLLEGE PARK, Maryland — Tourism is an essential part of Maryland’s economy. In the 2017 fiscal year alone visitors spent more than $17 billion on travel generating more than $2 billion for the state in taxes–up more than 4% over the prior year. But industry officials are concerned about how President Trump’s travel ban may impact visitors to the state.
