COLLEGE PARK, Maryland – The University of Maryland and Bowie State University announced the launch of a Social Justice Alliance in honor of Richard Collins III, a Bowie State Student who was murdered on the University of Maryland’s campus in 2017. Today, Collin’s law goes into effect in Maryland, strengthening the state’s hate crime law.
