Why are you running for the school board?
I am running for the school board to end the chaos going on in Harford County Public Schools. I am here for the children, parents and teachers.
What makes you a good candidate for the board?
I have lived in Harford County for 48 years. I attended HCPS growing up. I have two children currently in the school system. I have managed several businesses in Harford County. I have worked well with many different personalities. I am a hard worker. I am a leader.
Please name a public leader you admire and explain why.
(South Dakota’s Republican Gov.) Kristi Noem. She did not shut her state down during COVID.
What is the most important issue facing your school board, and what would you do about it if elected?
I am a parental rights candidate. I am fighting for the transparency of our school curriculum. I will fight sexualization of our children. I will stand up for our children with the gender ideology that is being taught and pushed in our schools. I will support a zero-tolerance bullying policy in Harford County Public Schools.
How concerned are you about school safety, and what if anything should be done to improve it?
I am very concerned about school safety. Our students need to feel safe. Our parents need to feel that their children are safe. Teachers need to feel safe. There should be an armed guard or police officer at every school.
Do you have any concerns about the way history is taught in your district’s schools, and if so, what are they?
Yes. History is slowly being erased. They have renamed schools. History is there for everyone to learn from. It should not be erased. Politics should not be taught in school.
Do you think there are circumstances when books should be removed from school libraries, and if so, what kind of books should be removed?
Books that are inappropriate for younger children should be removed. Parents should have full access to every book being read at school or checked out in the library. If a parent wants to opt their child out of a book there should not be a disagreement with administration. Books about sex are never appropriate in public school unless a parent signs a permission slip.
