WASHINGTON – D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser announced a community policing initiative to augment D.C.s dwindling police force ahead of the summer. This comes a day after Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Contee stepped down after 33 years of service to join the FBI.
