Boeing defends safety of planes amidst controversy ahead of Senate committee hearings

BALTIMORE – Boeing leadership and pilots appear before a Congressional committee to defend the safety of planes amidst controversy. Criticism arose after the door panel of a Boeing Alaskan Airlines jet flew off mid-air. Whistle blowers and Boeing employees have begun to speak out about the production and safety of the airplanes. The U.S. Senate Commerce Committee will host hearings on the company’s safety Wednesday, April 17.
