The Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports — which issued $111 million in grants to address youth mental health in 2024 — issued eight grants worth a total of $11.12 million in Anne Arundel County:
- Thrive Behavioral Health received a $6.7 million grant for substance abuse prevention, early childhood intervention, parent support groups, school professional development and other services.
- Arundel Lodge Inc. received a $1.15 million grant for substance use services, suicide prevention, support groups, medication management, therapy, bridge services and preventative screening, psychiatric diagnoses and crisis intervention.
- The Children’s Guild Inc. received $980,000 to provide youth and family navigation services to students and families.
- The Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency received $620,000 to provide wraparound mental health services and resources.
- Associated Catholic Charities Inc. received $525,000 to address barriers to school attendance by connecting disengaged students with services that aim to get them back in school.
- Anne Arundel County, on behalf of the Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth & Families, received $480,000 to help steer families and students to the services they need.
- The Anne Arundel County Department of Health received $365,000 for substance use prevention services for youth and families.
- Playworks Education Energized received $295,000 for work focused on social emotional learning and improving school climate.
