The Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports — which issued $111 million in grants to address youth mental health in 2024 — issued five grants totaling $2.47 million in Cecil County:
- LIVEFORTHOMAS Foundation Inc. received $880,000 for suicide awareness and prevention services, peer-to-peer support and support groups.
- Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services Inc. received $880,000 to create a digital platform to help connect students and families with care and provide access to information, community resources, self-guided interventions, a parent portal, assessments and virtual brief intervention groups.
- Advantage Psychiatric Services LLC received $345,000 for support groups, suicide prevention, mental health awareness programs, substance use prevention programs and individual and family therapy.
- Youth Empowerment Source received $260,000 to provide parenting workshops, case management and conflict resolution, social emotional learning and a summer camp focused on health and wellness.
- The Cecil County Department of Community Services received $105,000 to provide family peer support navigation and links to trauma care.
