The Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports — which issued $111 million in grants to address youth mental health in 2024 — issued four grants totaling $3.97 million in Charles County:
- Center for Children Inc. received $2.71 million to provide dialectical behavioral therapy for high-need youths, substance use services, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and case management services for students and families.
- Mental Health Association of Maryland received $580,000 for mental health first aid training and a mental health promotion campaign.
- Hazel Health received $550,000 to provide telehealth services for students and families both in school and at home.
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland received $130,000 for social-emotional skill-building and character development through after-school activities.
