The Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports — which issued $111 million in grants to address youth mental health in 2024 — issued 12 grants totaling $7.64 million in Frederick County:
- Sheppard Pratt Health System Inc. received $4 million for individual and family therapy, early intervention groups, case management services, psychiatric services and a summer program.
- Heartly House Inc. received $590,000 for abuse and violence prevention education, case management services and counseling for children and parents.
- Greenspace Mental Health Ltd. received $570,000 to create a digital front door to help students and families better access to the mental health support system, from psychoeducation to direct service delivery.
- Thrive Behavioral Health received $480,000 for family education and support, school staff training and expanded access to services.
- Uneo Health (in partnership with NAMI Maryland, Bowie State University, and AMG) received $470,000 to develop a smartphone app providing self-care and support resources to at-risk and underserved high school teenagers.
- Associated Catholic Charities Inc. received $290,000 to intervene with disengaged students through care coordination services addressing student and family barriers to school attendance.
- Centro Hispano de Frederick received $265,000 for social-emotional learning, health resource coordination, family supports and a summer camp.
- SHIP of Frederick County received $260,000 to provide case management services for youth experiencing homelessness.
- I Believe in Me received $235,000 for wraparound supports, navigation and access to mental health services, mentoring and family supports.
- Mental Health Association of Frederick County Inc. received $345,000 for parent coaching and systems navigation services to address and prevent truancy.
- Parent Encouragement Program Inc. (PEP) received $100,000 for parenting education for parents and caregivers of children ages five to 18.
- Center for Anxiety and Behavioral Change received $35,000 for school staff training on interventions to address school refusal and avoidance, as well as a webinar-based training module for parents and guardians.
