The Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports — which issued $111 million in grants to address youth mental health in 2024 —issued seven grants totaling $4.54 million in Harford County:
- Achieving True Self received $1.49 million for social-emotional learning through social skills groups, parent training and behavior consultation and support.
- Cook Center for Human Connection received $950,000 for parent coaching, school staff training and promoting positive classroom environments.
- Harford County Boys & Girls Club received $800,000 for social-emotional skill-building and character development through after-school activities.
- Pivot Point Counseling LLC received $520,000 for outpatient psychiatric services, care coordination, case management, family support groups, collaboration with other providers and other services.
- Thrive Behavioral Health received $380,000 for family education and support, school staff training and expanded access to services.
- FreshStart Therapeutic Services received $300,000 for therapeutic mentoring and peer and family/community group support on topics such as depression, anxiety, coping skills, social skills, independent living skills and suicide and substance use prevention.
- Nature Worx Inc. received $100,000 for mindfulness-based nature immersion sessions for students and their families to help participants learn skills to support their mental/emotional health and increase their resiliency and coping abilities.
