The Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports — which issued $111 million in grants to address youth mental health in 2024 — issued two grants totaling $965,000 in Wicomico County:
- Three Lower Counties Community Services Inc. — part of Chesapeake Health Care — received $675,000 for counseling, suicide prevention, substance use services, support groups, family supports, peer supports, and wraparound services delivered through school-based health centers.
- Maple Shade Youth & Family Services Inc. received $290,000 for an after-school program that will teach cognitive behavioral techniques, including education about reactions to trauma, relaxation training, cognitive therapy, stress or trauma exposure and social problem-solving.
