Supreme Court hears LGBTQ+ book case from Montgomery County, Maryland

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Supreme Court is hearing arguments over whether parents should be alerted about certain books in the classroom. Mahmoud v Taylor, which started over Montgomery County Public Schools curricula, centers around parents who want to opt their children out of reading books with LGBTQ+ themes. The parents argue that curricula with these books violates their religious freedom.
