The Commanders’ move back to RFK brings back memories for longtime fans

FREDERICK, Md. – RFK Stadium was the home of Washington’s football team for 35 seasons. In 2030, the team will move back to the RFK Campus. Longtime fans cannot wait for the return to RFK – especially Stephen Koontz. He owns an appliance store that used to be located inside Redskins Stadium. Koontz said he has only missed over 20 home games from the estimated 400 home games held between 1970 to 2020.
