WASHINGTON – AAA expects more than 1.5 million Marylanders to travel over the Thanksgiving holiday, the highest projection ever recorded. Most travelers will drive, with more than 1.3 million people on the roads, and peak congestion is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Air travel is also climbing, as more than 104,000 residents head through BWI with flight restrictions lifted ahead of the rush.
