Maryland’s U.S. Senators critical of FBI Kavanaugh report

Maryland Democratic Senators Cardin and Van Hollen said they found the follow-up FBI report on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh incomplete. Senator Ben Cardin said the report raised more questions than it answered and Senator Chris Van Hollen criticized the FBI for failing to contact individuals who said they had important information to share.

School safety app and hotline rolled out to help prevent school shootings

Governor Hogan has announced the launch of a 24-hour tip line and a mobile app for Maryland students to help prevent school shootings. The goal is for students, parents, teachers and anyone else to report troubling behavior to try and avoid possible problems. The hotline and the app are anonymous and operate 24 hours a day.

Attack on Harford County warehouse leaves four dead, including suspect

ABERDEEN, Maryland— Four people are dead, including the suspect, in a mass shooting at a Rite Aid distribution center Thursday morning in Aberdeen. Three others were injured. Police say the gun used in the attack, a 9-mm Glock handgun, was registered to the suspect. Harford County Sheriff Jeff Gahler told reporters no shots were fired by law enforcement. It’s the third mass shooting in as many years in Harford County.
