CUMBERLAND — Maryland lawmakers are now considering whether someone who has either been convicted or suspected of sexual assault or rape should be denied access to a child resulting from the alleged offense. After years of failure in a House committee legislation which will deny those parental rights made it out of the committee and was overwhelmingly approved by the full house. It now awaits action in the Senate.
