Plaque dedicated to Pasquotank County Commissioners

African American Commissioner Hugh Cale’s name was erased from a plaque dedicated to the five Pasquotank County Commissioners serving in 1882. His name has since been re-added to the plaque. Commissioners now regularly meet in the Hugh Cale Commissioners Board Room. Photo by Caroline Hanks/CNS
